lucius well jk upon further research I’ve changed my mind and decided that this is totally chill because they’ll typically do a quick type test before performing a transfusion anyway and I’m not planning on being pregnant any time soon so outside of those two scenarios…

taterhole yeah, i figured typing is rather simple nowadays. but what if ur stranded on an island and need to jerry-rig a transfusion from a rubber aviation hose and a sea urchin spine and y'all don't know ur blood types?

lucius there’s a 99% probability that I’ll be accompanied by a brilliant molecular biochemist who could mcgyver some kind of an ELISA assay and then perform the transfusion himself

My dad teases me about how when I was a little kid, my favorite thing to do when I was on the landline phone with somebody—be it a relative or one of my best friends—was to breathlessly describe the things that were in my bedroom so that they could have a mental picture of everything I loved and chose to surround myself with, and where I sat at that moment in time. Perfectly Imperfect reminds me of that so thanks for always listening and for sharing with me too 💌
