i love the early social internet. these take me back to when i had my first website in like 2007 (on piczo). i had a whole page dedicated to the collection and curation of icon graphics including these girlies.
i am so ready for them to make a comeback
What i really love so very much is that, for me, this website is a website that i only visit when i'm at home, on my mac. I have no desire to check this website on my phone, and i am so very happy that this website resonates with me that way. It feels how old internet felt :-)
my ultimate internet ♡ comfort ♡ browsing experience — nyt connections be damned. i love looking at the $11m mansions in malibu or rhode island and making little notes of how i'd improve things if i bought it. bonus points if the listing has 30+ photos OR a 3d virtual tour add-on. just divine.
Gazpacho only in the late summer, persimmons only in the winter, etc. just because we can import anything from anywhere anytime doesn’t mean we should. Nothing is special if you can have it whenever you want it.
