On my drive home today I saw a little girl chasing a goose and throwing rocks at it (True psychopath behaviour). So I rolled down the car window and yelled at her in a dad voice to STOP. Was it too much? Maybe. Do I regret it? No.

I was sitting on the steps to my house with my friend Evan. We were about 2 or 3. There were hundreds of ants on the sidewalk below us. Evan reached down and started smushing them. I turned to him and told him to stop: “How would YOU feel if you were an ant and someone smushed YOU?” A patronizing lesson in empathy… Interestingly, I had open heart surgery around the same time and spent days in the hospital, but this memory is much more visceral. Love this question.

It’s not the same anymore. We got into so much trouble, and yet didn’t get caught. Once I chipped his tooth and he said he ran into a pole so I wouldn’t get into trouble. I don’t think our parents believed him, but they respected his answer.

not good in the moment but when it ends up being over something goofy that isn't serious and you find out which one you are, it's pretty useful (vague-ish post as to why I've been inactive) (my aunt saw a raccoon in my great grandparents abandoned house, started screaming like there was an axe murderer, so I ran, as one does) (but then I tripped) (ouch)

What happens behind the wheel is, frankly, none of my business. I'd rather spend my time picking songs/sipping coffee/taking in the scene. Driving is so pedestrian.

I swear to god this shit is too powerful. It doesn’t always work out the way I hoped but the win/loss ratio is definitely in my favour. We are social creatures. We like helping each other. Just do it. Ask me for something if you want. Who knows what I’ll say.
