It’s nice to log off TikTok, IG, and Twitter for a few days or a week and use much more low key socials to get a new perspective. I’ve mostly been into Letterbox and Duolingo. PYI also fits this vibe. Sipping some iced green tea on a farm in the Midwest not giving a shit about people’s online today. ❤️‍🔥

I’ve been limiting Instagram for a while, there was a good 3 months where I did check it at all and now I do every couple days for a few minutes. I’m also going to do that with TikTok and if I need to get hot/wholesome/random takes I’ll just get on here. A lot of people say they need Instagram to get their news, but for me it makes way more sense to listen to the radio, subscribe to email blasts, and just look at publications I respect now and again.

Was going through instagram stories for the first time in months. Nothing wrong with using social media in the right way or really however you want to. I just really don’t miss it when I avoid it and when I go back I like it less and less. PI feels like an exception- it’s a much purer form. Not trying to kiss ASS here, but it kinda just feels like old twitter which was a happy place in the timeline of social media…

PI is different because you’re not trying to impress anyone or present a carefully crafted persona. You can be away from this site for days or weeks and come back when you’re in the mood. You won’t miss out on anything viral or some big news. That said, if you don’t need this in your life, go free!

This could be one of those rare things that – somehow – reminds you who you are, or who you used to be, those parts you thought were gone. (And trust me, there will be threads. So many threads.) I’ve learned, too, that there are whole stretches of life where you’ve been a stranger to yourself for so long that admitting it feels terrifying, insane even. But without that one thing to confess to, to get honest with – to untangle the mess of ordinary, maddening thoughts – you might never know what’s actually there, buried under the static.

I stumbled upon this relic in a nameless California town I forgot the name of, probably because thrift shops are like existential quicksand. It’s the perfect prop for those friend-argument moments, an almost absurd metaphor for dismantling our emotional walls between us. Plus, its sheer randomness guarantees everyone will question your sanity rather than the sentiment. 💯💯💯💯
