Use an app if you have to. I like to turn on a podcast and put my phone down for an hour while I get moving for the day. Objects at rest stay at rest.

limit ur screen time with (ironically) an app that locks other apps, do literally anything else in that time even if it’s 15 minutes, I got back into reading, painting and gardening
regain your time. screenzen allows you to create very detailed limits and schedules for your app usage. for example i only let myself open instagram 5 times a day for 5 minutes at a time. I only let myself access podcasts on the weekends (to create more time for quality music listening.)
our time and attention is the most valuable thing in the world and its absurd to think our will power is stronger than our phone addictions.
once youre free from the distractions you can do anything!!!

It’s so difficult. I’ve been talking to my therapist about the way I’ve let socials rot my brain & behavior in some ways.

The days where I don’t get online first thing in the morning this week have felt really great. More focused & starts the day out right
