Rent a bike/take a city bike (I used Donkey Republic which had mounts for your phone, extremely useful for directions) and spend a day trekking out to see the windmills in Zaanse Schans. The ride is a very fun experience in itself, and the town is so cool to see. Recommend going earlier in the day as the shops there close a bit earlier!
