I used to cry every year on my bday but honestly in recent years I’ve grown to love it? Idk if it’s bc I’ve gotten older or feel less pressure, but even just seeing two besties on the day warms my heart and I just love my birthday! 🎈

I’ve come to the ripe age of 22 and it might be the first time I haven’t cried on my birthday. Only half way through but so far kept it casual and have not let any bad thoughts come through. Replying to any kind messages but definitely not sitting and waiting for them. Woke up, went to work, currently drinking an iced chai by myself, meeting a friend later for a quick lunch and that’s about it! a regular mid may sunny day. i’ve done it.
i’ve managed to stress myself out over figuring out how to spend mine this year…
realized how little i know the people that are closest to me at this moment
(been living in a new city for 1yr)
seems like i rather spend it alone than with people i don’t feel that close with…
but i know i will be lonely and !maybe! regret it…?
but perhaps i’ll b happier?
i always get emotional during this time:
when i realize i’m growing and getting older

its soooo good. especially the section on desire. if you have three hours to spare I highly recommend.
on a side note: love a good video essay. a lot are kinda half assed, but the good ones are so good and help with my atrocious attention span!
