Spending time in silence

lately I’ve been doing chores/sitting in Ubers/hanging out alone without music or podcasts and it is nice to just stare into space and experience ur thoughts sometimes…… Can be scary! But nice too :)

CHOOSING *not* to be overstimulated for once!

i woke up today, checked my group chat, put on a cooking video while getting dressed, i sit down to eat while listening to loud music and a lore video about fallout 4, broswing depop while i watch tv- now i think: where is the time for my mind? my brain needs to take a breather. enough!!!

the quiet

You know that window of a few minutes right when you wake up in the morning where your thoughts haven’t all loaded yet? These days I enjoy silence as a more affecting thing than a lack of stimulus. Like it’s not the absence of noise, it’s the presence of quiet. And it feels nice on your ears if you tune in.
