so at my middle school library, you simply had to write your name on a slip of paper to check out a book. each week our homeroom teacher would read out the titles of overdue books and the names of kids whoâd checked them out. in advance of April fools in 6th grade, I checked out what I considered the weirdest books in the library (stuff like âyour changing bodyâ) under the names of all the boys in my class. my teacher read out the list on April 1 and all the kids were like âwhat!!! I swear I didnât check that out!!â In retrospect I have no idea how this unhinged yet clever idea entered my developing brain

Some seniors thought it would be a funny prank to buy cheap alarm clocks and put them in their lockers, all setting them to go off at the same time as a comical disruption in the final weeks of the school year. Before the agreed upon time, however, one of the teachers heard a loud ticking coming from the hallway, assumed the worst, and the entire school was evacuated. The cops and fire department arrived, and since all of the kids involved put the clocks in their own lockers, the culprits were soon taken down to the principal's office and interrogated by the police. After it became apparent that they were just dealing with a room of stupid and terrified kids, they just gave u- *ahem* them some community service hours.

my freshman year of high school i went to a new school and i didnt know how to do school well bc i have learning disabilities. it was an academically rigorous traditional school and i forgot to do my homework bc i was bad at planning ahead and like generally keeping track of things. anyway like the first week of this new school i get to class and got called on about the homework and i had to say in front of the class that i forgot. this teacher was known to be an odd ball/old school and he yelled at me and sent me out of class and asked me and told me only to return when i was prepared and ready to learn. needless to say i was stunned and packed up my stuff and ran out crying. i mean i was literally like 14.
this then became the folklore everyone told new students about this teacher and it got passed down but no one realized it was me and when i became like a senior i would tell freshman and they were like that was you?!?!
anyway this teacher years later got clocked for sexual misconduct and buying kids alcohol lol

The setting is a huge public highschool in Minneapolis. The scene of plenty of viral fight videos (including the infamous hijab snatching)
We bribed a janitor to let us into the school at 1 am. We went from room to room, turning tables and chairs upside down, defacing posters with âSENIOR SZNâ and dumb stuff like that. Before we finished, we decided our final hurrah would be bringing tables and chairs from classrooms to the front entrance to block the main door and the administrative office from entrance. It was like kids in a toy store- free reign over our high school in the dead of night. Ive been chasing the high ever since.
cut to: all parents have to come to an assembly where they sign off on our written apologies to the principal and administrators.

you need an account but soo many treasures. old scanned newspapers - search for people, buildings, events of the past, etc. found out that my grandma apparently crashed into a parked cop car in NJ in the 50s lol. so many ridiculous vintage advertisements on each page too

hear me outâŠi drink, but i donât want to have alcohol every day. yet most evenings after work i crave a cold bitter refreshing relaxing transition back into regular life. aka a beer. i realized that what iâm craving isnât even the buzz, just that ritual and the flavor i associate with it. soda is too sweet and hop water isnât harsh enough. this brand is by far the closest iâve found to the actual beer taste, though itâs not perfect. but totally suffices as an alternative 2 or 3 times a week.

a very embarrassing questionâŠcan someone explain the like system? why are some stars black and others white or yellow? why are there some big ol single stars and some have several lil guys? what does it mean or does it mean nothing at all?? lol Iâm mortified to ask this but will feel unmoored until I understand
