My musical tastes have softened a bit since this came out 20 years ago, but it definitely changed my life and expanded what I thought was possible to do with a guitar. I get obsessed it with it all over again every year or so. It's one of my favorite post-hardcore albums, and I just thought of it again after seeing artdamage's username, but I'm guessing that's just a coincidence?

I don’t know much about this album, I found it somewhere and clicked on it cuz the artwork kinda looked like my band’s single artwork.
I usually have too short of an attention span for ambient music, but this drew me in! There are a few songs with random vocal parts that really hit. I guess this is from 2004 so like lost in translation-coded if that makes sense. The song titles also slap and are maybe 75% of why I like this.

This album goes hard from start to finish, mixing cowboy chords with alt rock progressions. The title track will leave you pierced by loves lost arrow, while tracks like Berlin got Blurry will leave you toe tapping to the memories of nervously drinking and trying to fit in. and those are just Andrew Savage’s contributions. Every song by Austin Brown brings similar heat. Hypnotic tracks like Dust will hook you straight away with its driving power and irresistible mantra. By far one of my favourite album by the lads.

I saw this album on a list of the best pop punk from the 2000s and loved the cover. A wizard fighting robot sharks atop a squid was kind of the fun vibe I wanted for that summer so I gave the album a listen and absolutely loved it. It is such a perfect pop punk/easycore album and always makes it into my summer rotation.

Here it is, folks! Volume I of what could very well be a continuous project. Thank you so much to everyone that submitted - I smiled the entire time I was putting this together. It's best listened to with headphones ☺️

This collection of field recordings is a collaborative effort with users of PI.FYI, each of which recorded their own pieces. It features audio from all over the world and exhibits eclectic moments from London Underground commutes to cuckoo bird calls in Dhaka to the sounds of a century-old American diner.
Online communities like PI.FYI often represent a diverse set of people, places, and experiences, but together, the submissions form a living collage that highlights the commonalities of modern life - a unifying message for such a tumultuous time. The first track features all of the sounds played at once in an attempt to create an audio snapshot of an online community but in their offline lives.
The individual recordings are unedited except for minor gain and compression adjustments for consistency across the collection.
