since college/having a job ive been hooked on caffeine. and since ive been working 10-12 hr days i would chug a bang! energy drink or sugar free redbull at least once per day.
but then my friend decided to quit caffeine and i unintentionally stopped drinking caffeine altogether, and honestly ive never felt better. i used to have an insane amount of energy in the morning then crash at like 12pm but nowadays my energy has been so level. been keeping at this for ~3 months, and i still have coffee every once in a while but nothing crazy. would recommend going cold turkey with caffeine !!

when i got on adderall my doctor recommended i reduce my intake of other stimulants so my blood pressure stays within a healthy range and switching to decaf / tea instead of two yerba mates / double shots throughout the day has been such a quality of life improvement

Decaf is my new best friend. I haven’t had a caffeinated cup of coffee in over a week and I’m falling asleep faster and I‘ve got more consistent energy levels now. Trust me you can do it!!
Pro-tip: It’s all about decaf. I’m not going to deny myself the coffeeshop experience or the taste of a cappuccino just because I don’t want caffeine in my system.

well, I did it.
But I didn't like it.
poor sleep, headaches, and other issues persuaded me that I ought to take a break from my usual daily coffee rhythm of 4-5 double shot americanos. (That's 8-10 shots of espresso.)
here's what I did last week: - Tuesday - 1/2 the usual caff amount - Wed - 1/3 caff - Thurs - 1/4 caff - Friday - 1/8 caff - Saturday, Sunday, Monday - zero caff
today is the first headache-free day. Not sure if I'm going to ease back in after a few weeks or what.

Almost four weeks now without caffeine. I fucking love coffee, but this is one of the best things I’ve done for myself in a while. Better sleep, no more feeling like a zombie in the morning, less anxiety. 5/5.

u gotta just show up at the same places consistently. if someone sees u at a place long enough they'll either end up talking to u or u'll talk to them by virtue of just occupying the space. this can apply to almost anything so like the gym, dance classes, art studios, cafes, bars, clubs, book clubs, town hall meetings, etc
personally, ive been going to the same rock climbing gym and even though i suck at it (and im really really bad at it) ive met a couple of rlly cool ppl from there. but yeah its much easier said than done, bc life can get in the way of that consistency. but if u rlly try at it i think u can meet some cool folks.
