Such a fun experiment today to deal with runaway nervous thoughts: Choose a thought that has contributed to your anxiety. Gather evidence in support of your thought (verifiable facts only), and against your thought. Compare the evidence and determine whether your thought is accurate or not.
Use Socratic questioning. Question the thoughts that contribute to your anxiety. Ask yourself: - “Is my thought based on facts or feelings?” - “How would my best friend see this situation?” - “How likely is it that my fear will come true?” - “What’s most likely to happen?” - “If my fear comes true, will it still matter in a week? A month? A year?”

I haven't shared this app with anyone in my real life yet but it's an interesting thought exercise to see whether I'd want to share it with a certain person. How do I think they'd feel about the atmosphere here? How would they add to it? Would I feel like they are using my account to support or dismiss beliefs they already have about me? Judge me? Do I want to welcome them into this friendly safe space or do they make it feel less safe?

I think everyone needs to doubt their existence.
Who is “I” and how much control do we have over ourselves? Your brain happens to you, thoughts happen to you, your likes and dislikes happen to you. Who is this silent observer within the mind? What limits does it set? How can I challenge it?

Python! Honestly very hard for me to get into - I have ZERO coding knowledge and nothing I could really latch onto - knowledge transfer is how I learn. But https://futurecoder.io/ is great (after lots of Redditing)

The puffin is the latest addition to more than 180 known species—many of them sharks, corals, and other marine animals—that emit a luminous glow. The fact that so many marine animals biofluoresce "tells us organisms are using light in ways we don't even see," John Sparks, curator of fishes at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City.
