I hate this wave of hour tracking and micromanagement. Why do they need to know im not efficient (i can be, i just hate my job) at getting a task done? None of this is real, just give me a deadline and ill get it to you. i dont keep track of how long i spend on a task, managers know im lying, what‘s the point.

KEEPING A STOPWATCH ACTIVE ON YOUR PHONE

people will see the stopwatch and they will get anxious and ask you “why do you have a stopwatch active on your phone”. You can do anything at that point. Refuse to give them a straight answer, don’t give them an inch. “I’m tracking how long it’s been since…” and look off into the distance. “Sometimes you just need to know how many minutes or hours it’s been…”. this stresses people out a lot. very funny to do to people
