Went to an antique market and picked up a random assortment of old photos. Something about it is just so beautiful to me. Someone years ago really wanted a photo of this moment or they were messing around with a camera and caught it and maybe they are gone now or these photos got lost or given away but I can hold this moment for them. It just gives me that, wow humanity, feeling. Anyway this scuba diver, I’m obsessed with them, and this photo, and the composition, and the fishies. I’m using it as a bookmark.

Please do yourself a favour and browse through the winners of different years. It’s a photo comp for microscopic images - animals, plants, chemicals, every day objects, all utterly unrecognisable. This one was 5th place in 2001 - a coated magazine cover!!! Wtf! The images are even clearer in recent years I cannot recommend this highly enough! 5+++ stars!!

Received this in a newsletter, w/o photog creds. Sometimes, it’s all a matter of (forced) perspective.

a study issued last month found that dancing is the most effective way of treating and mitigating depression. Walking, therapy, and yoga also outpaced SSRIs. and if you're saying 'oh this was probably funded by Big Dance', there's no evidence of that and if you're saying 'that's just what a Big Dance shill would say', well honey you're right
