These bands likely didnโt know each other but they have a very specific, future-forward-from-the-past aesthetic that shines on both of these albums. Breathers are maybe more arcane and really floor the FM synth lane nobody wants to be in, and The Hecks are a little more muscular and referential. Both are weird, memorable, nervous, overlooked albums.
