i make most of my money working at a couple of places as a server/bartender and i love it but i also have a french degree and i freelance as a photographer and gig as a musician which accounts for maybe like 10-15% of my income. so maybe i fit the description you're tossing out. working in the service industry is so fun i can't quit and most of my photography work is food & bev oriented! that's my sweet spot!

honestly it rips my soul out of my body but it pays the bills right….
it’s very cut throat and my bosses just gave me a 1 star review (even though I meet my deliverables and work 40/hrs a week and sometimes do video editing/motion design/graphic design)
I do not recommend it
Getting a salary for making Corporate Memes is absurd tho. Trying to at least laugh at that.
