Has *almost* never failed me and when it has the other person either is super boring or literally has NO interest in making any sort of effort so really it’s either a clutch game changer or a powerful sorting tool. win win!

Love a book but sometimes I just want the good stuff. It’s like talking or arguing with yourself but productive because it’s reading I recently read & saw (and I recommend doing so in that order) How to Defend Yourself and it has stuck with me!! Maybe I will write something good one day.

personally, that lights a fire under my ass sometimes. i find character driven and plot driven media both have their places, but the former has helped me a lot in terms of self-exploration. the artsier/more eccentric, the better imo.

SEVERELY underrated... what's worse than reaching the end of a good book? having absolutely no one to discuss it with. problem solved!

I made garlic knots for the first time on friday and they were so good and easy!! definitely becoming a new staple when i have friends over for an italian-american dinner. I used Brian Lagerstrom’s recipe on youtube and i highly, highly recommend it!

they said the wrong thing but if you know what they meant dont break their stream of consciousness. only interject if (1) it would be embarrassing for them to make that mistake again in front of a less gracious audience and it is a repeat mistake (eg, calling a personal connection by the wrong name NOT using "nuke-ular" instead of "nuclear") or (2) you need to clairify meaning to understand the story
