let’s face it social media is dead. create your own corners of the internet! to code is to world build. i coded and designed my own blog two years ago (it’s linked if you want to take a look at it) it’s full of my thoughts, music, art, literally everything i love. i lowkey abandoned it (school was beating my ass but we move) i’m coming back to it because doesn’t require that i adhere to algorithms or trends. it’s authentic. it’s feels true to me. it feels like home even if u don’t code, start off with pinterest, are.na, substack i feel like the internet can be used to connect us maybe just not in traditional ways like social media.

I enjoyed the internet in healthy doses from ages 12-17 which was late 00's, early teens and had so much fun socializing as well as learning about new stuff like music, history, and politics. I felt the internet had a perfect amount of algorithm at that time to nudge me into the direction of what I like as well as me stumbling onto random stuff. I also bad times learning about new stuff but it has shaped me into the person I am. This site is still confusing to me but I also felt confused all the time trying to adapt to new websites so maybe that is the appeal? It's about fun, new information, and my interests.

we need to strike back against the walled garden of the current online experience. Your computer is yours and so too should your webpage be. Dont use a template....freestyle html create an oasis of anime girl angels and #6efdfd glittering on the screen

well, would you look at that? turns out that turning 30 makes you, in fact, care less about how other people perceive you. feels nice.
