Link goes to one posted by @WEIRD but if you look online for values inventory there are more. It helps you figure out what is most important to you. Maybe it’s a value you currently pursue, maybe you find new values that resonate.

Taste is subjective and while i don’t think you can learn it, i do think you can put yourself in positions to uncover it. almost like digging a hole in area of the ground that seems interesting to you and finding some gold. The only way to find that patch of grass, though, is to follow what you find to be intriguing and to be open enough to respect and accept people’s interests. you also can’t influence people to have good taste. They might take your advice and wear the clothes and listen to the music, but if they don’t truly own it it’s not their taste — they simply did something based on your taste. this is such a good question

it is easy to forget to do, or at least i have often found i have let it slip away from me, but it is important to really articulate to yourself what your values are and stick to them. Doesn’t mean they can’t change, but you should take those changes seriously too.…
