Loosely starting to throw together songs for a dj set at a close friend’s valentines-themed house party. we’re not in the dj scene, if this wasn’t happening it’d just be aux cord plugged into the speakers, but this is more fun imo
Ps drop any vday tracks in the comments xoxo ty :*
My housemate/best friend caskeyc had an art show today and we’re DJing the after party. no idea what we’re doing, playlist downloaded, pure vibes await. Housemate is pictured, her tshirt reads “every girl should be a DJ”
I’m a hobbyist dj and played on an internet radio station for the last couple of years but fell off of it and pursued other projects
I have a playlist of some tracks I play out at open decks nights in my town (basically you show up with a USB to dj on CDJs provided at a bar or club)
This playlist has a bunch of tech house, trance, hard groove, electro, acid, breakbeats/jungle/dnb, some bass music and UK garage and some dembow/global club music
My favorites:
10easy - Mia Koden
Shake the Club - Doctor Jeep
Dolphin Skii - Caldera
Sub 100 - Hodge
coco tunnel - u.r.trax
Green Inferno - LSDXOXO
RIPCORD - avas
Get a haircut, get rid of some clothes you haven’t worn in years, get a new houseplant, get in touch with the changing season, get grounded, get stoned, get in touch with some old friends, get some ice cream, get going
Friends you met out in the neighborhood at a bar or park or cafe or wherever a couple times and struck up a rapport with.
You don’t have eachother’s phone numbers, no social media info.
I have a couple friends like this and it’s been such a nice social change up. Always a pleasant surprise to bump into them out and about.
