this is actually such a good rec! these feelings are similar in how our body responds to them anyway but excitement enables while anxiety inhibits so we are not scared to go to the party where we don‘t know anybody we are excited as we get to make new friends!

the dread to excitement pipeline
dates, parties, big trips, presentations. when I have something coming up that I'm anxious about, I try to reframe it in my head as something to look forward to instead of fear. Being a little nervous can prompt you to prepare for something, but it really works to realize that worrying not only does more harm than good -- it doesn't do any good at all. have faith in your ability, get excited about a new experience and let the adaptable and resilient future you handle the rest

To perpetually be on the precipice of something
Realizing I have been afraid of excitement because it teeters on anxiety but that has mostly been out of a lack of confidence on my part And finally realizing nerves are good And make you feel a little sexy. anyway, anticipation and what-ifs are some of the most fun ways to use your imagination and energy in life and wow I haven’t felt how good possibility or opportunity could be for a while. Almost let the dream and romance die in me for a second. Yikes!

my parents convinced me it was a bad thing but they are WRONG. this is how you find new music, this is how you learn history, this is how you go deeper into the internet. it takes a curious mind to go down a youtube rabbit hole. right now, mine is DJ tutorials and demos. i’m learning so much!!!!
