A low-risk way to try random stuff like St. Andre Triple Cream and 18-month aged Gouda. Usually the blocks are less than three bucks and it’s fun to dabble!

I always grab cheese when im at the store. If its a week that maybe the last block is still around I'll go peruse the fancy cheese isle/counter by the deli and see what cheese interests me and grab a small amount and then go to the cracker isle and get some crackers that might pair well

These are advanced cheeses for the seasoned cheese enjoyer who appreciates bold, unusual, funky, perhaps even stinky: - Harbison from Jasper Hill Farms. rich, creamy, wrapped in tree bark, oh so funky - Rogue River Blue. Wrapped in grape leaves that have been steeped in pear brandy, salty, creamy, little crunchy moments, and an incredible sweet taste to balance the blue cheese funk. - Delice de Bourgogne. if you like Brie you’ll like this creamy, rich decadence

Way harder than I thought it’d be but not bad for my first try. My lack of skill somehow gives it extra charm instead of looking like shit. Turns out embroidery is a forgiving medium.

a good lesson in patience and being ok looking like shit on purpose for a while. also fun to tend to it like a little garden on your face.

may seem trivial, but this helps me feel more confident in the things I write down and encourages a more positive self-image of my brain. also, it’s not that hard. you basically just need to slow down.
