pedialyte hahaha omg no offense but I think I prefer my lore-having Phil PhD guy... He's a rawlsian so lib politics but has a heart of gold :) his work's on what we owe to each other and moral responsibility. also he doesn't fw jkr for obvious reasons (although I heard she has an issue with fanfic so maybe ur guy is doing praxis actually idk)

the stuffy philosphy phd guy with a lot of lore that i know has a printed set of some kinda 'harry potter as a scientist' fanfiction on his bookshelf. he's also anti-empathy and anti-morality.

cinema clubs
went to a cinema club - this is what it's all about. community is real! even in the city! it's not all over. i watched natural enemies and boxing helena with my friend and ally charlie. the first was awesome, the second was less so - but arguably more fun. sherilyn fenn is not a star, she is something else entirely.

reverse to-do lists
journaling is hard so most days my entries look like:
“made the bed, texted kimmy back, solved the nyt mini in 45 seconds. Got gnocchi for lunch. didnt go to class, stomach pain. Need Pepto, dish soap and craft supplies.”
It helps me feel better. Reminds me I’m in my body doing things even when those things aren’t productive, and those things are part of living, too. Mostly it’s nice to look at the things you did or didn’t do with total impartiality. just quiets things down for a bit.

hooks obfuscates the theory/practice divide by talking about its healing capacity. she constructs a definition of theory wherein, done successfully, it would be incomprehensible to distinguish internal healing from external revolutionary practice. too often we talk about theory and philosophy in a denaturalized way, in a way that separates humanity from politics. but revolution and healing trauma are affined projects of human spirit
