kind of a boring rec but if youre into film, metrograph screens really incredible movies. there's also ifc center (which does q&a's sometimes) and the angelika theaters but metrograph has the best selection imo
Film Forum is the OG but Metrograph is younger and hungrier, with a more diverse slate of films and an emphasis on rediscovered or neglected classics. Great atmosphere too, with a restaurant and bookstore. you canβt go wrong!
the end of the Hayes Code followed some incredible movies including Rosemaryβs Baby, The Graduate, Midnight Cowboy, In the Heat of the Night and Bonnie & Clyde
