Stop trying to impress others

All these matcha, deftones, or wtv. people piss me off so much. Why are so many people like this? I'm not just talking about men but women as well. It's so stupid. They're all trying to reach some imaginary tiktok standard for being cool, and it is so fucking obvious. My recommendation, just to stop. PLEASE!

ignoring recommendations and just doing whatever tf you want

remember that most people here, and on the rest of the internet, know just as little as you. my time on instagram has shown me that likes and followers do not dictate good taste. my time on reddit has shown me that upvotes do not dictate good taste. internet recommendations might be a good starting point, but they are kind of a crutch. Don't rely too much on recommendations, don't treat them as gospel, don't use them to replace your own taste. develop good taste for yourself. it makes life tastier.

i was never anti outfit repeating necessarily, but i would think about how recently i wore an article/ensemble or where i wore it, who saw it etc. lately i’ve been rewearing outfits that make me look and feel good without thinking too hard about it and like… i look and feel good
