upon moving into my new apartment, the first thing i purchased to furnish it was a fire extinguisher, which is currently hanging neatly just adjacent of mt front door. as someone who's lived in college-town houses run by absolute slum lords for the better part of a decade, i've ran into my fair share (to put it lightly) of situations that could have ended up being massive fire hazards. an electric cable right next to a corner of the house that's seen considerable water damage that no one's gonna do anything about since your landlord is a cheapskate and you're broke as fuck, an electric stove where one of the burners isn't connected right and that somehow causes sparks to fly around smack dab next to wherever the closest adjacent electrical outlet is whenever your roommate tries to heat up some soup or something and forgets that he's using the burner everyone told him not to, a roommate walking into your house drunk as all hell and then making some macaroni but then falling asleep on the couch halfway through... there's just so many situations you, as a person no matter what walk of life you're on, could easily solve (or at least maybe ameliorate) if you had a fire extinguisher at the ready at all times. buy one today! they're only a little over $30 (plus shipping) on amazon! you have absolutely No excuse not to!

im moving into my own apartment for the first time soon and weirdly enough estate sales and lowkey the place to go!!! like we got some cutesy silverware with flowers on them and then a bird clock that makes different bird chip noises on the hour!! like if you know where to go and are willing to spend a bit rummaging through someone else's home it is well worth it and pretty cheap (at least where I am they are down for haggling lower prices and giving deals and such bc they want to get rid of everything). try looking on estatesales.net to find stuff in ur area bc they are a rlly good source i've found :)

I’m happy renting my little place that lacks all those things, but a man can dream!
Over the past year or so I’ve been able to get some nice furniture, and prints from my favorite photographers. And it’s almost always quiet here. And the rent is affordable. It’s quite great here, in fact!

"typing this out", instead of "this," essentially. every grammar lesson that's ever been taught since modern english came around will tell you that the latter is the only proper way to be technically "correct" in your writing, but it's always peeved me how whenever i put a series of words into quotation marks, i always want them to act as their own standalone statement with sentiment that starts and ends with said quotation marks, and imo the insertion of a comma that stands as a part of the sentence around that in between that serves to just completely disrupt whatever meaning i intend behind it. maybe if everyone starts doing this, the whole paradigm would be shifted!!!
also, long run-on sentences are pretty chill too
