I live in New York, but don’t have a hair stylist there (mostly because $ but also I like to build up a relationship with someone). I do, however, regularly see hair stylists when I’m in Cambridge, Oakland, and London (places I’ve formerly lived or spent a lot of time in). Less expensive, more to chit chat about and makes travel all the more transformative to have it to be the only mode where your appearance gets altered.
