Maybe I've been living under a rock, but I learned that dramedy was an actual word/genre this week. I would compare the references in this show, which are on point btw, to my Twitter timeline. I don't wanna give off too much, but this is one of those shows that starts and ends in a completely different tone, so stick around. It's really great, and I highly recommend it if you've got some time to burn (I did 10 hours in like 3 days).

okay okay i have many recs depending on what u want to watch next.
thriller/short series: mindhunter on netflix. INSANEEEE, perfectly shot and well acted. real interviews and lines from those interviews were used in this show, and it’s just an utterly fascinating look into the FBI and the term “serial killer” in the 70s.
growing up/comedy: GIRLS. look, i know lena dunham is a controversial figure, but she managed to create something that perfect encapsulates what it’s like to be going through your 20’s. sad, hysterical, and real.
just insane: the rehearsal. if you haven’t yet acquainted yourself with the world of nathan fielder: please do so. it will change your life. cringe comedy on a whole other level, and this recent season of the rehearsal is possibly the best season of television i have ever seen.
light/mystery/drama: big little lies. a classic, layered with drama, scandals, and surprisingly good writing, cinematography, and plot twists.

This show is so funny and good... say what you want about Lena Dunham, but she is an amazing writer. I'm only on episode 6 out of 10, but I really like it so far. I am no genius, but the way each episode is hyper-focused on one aspect of the complexity of Jessica's situation at that moment is really awesome,, I think. Amazing soundtrack

I’ve never been to Disney as a kid and as I grew older I always felt like I was too old for it. I spontaneously tagged along with my family the day before they left and I think that was the best decision I’ve ever made. I’m a huge fan of Star Wars and Avatar, and even as an adult I think I had the best week of my life and I felt like a kid again. I legitimately had real tears of joy on some of the rides. It’s never too late!

While everyone is raving about their trendy nonstick pans, I’m here to bring the spotlight back to cast iron cookware. There’s a huge stigma around how hard it is to take care of cast irons, but it’s really not bad! You just gotta keep using it, and over time, it basically becomes nonstick. This article has sent off a tangent, and now I am a proud owner of a well-seasoned cast iron pan and griddle.

Excessively hiking this year has been so fun, but the other half of the fun is the technical hiking apparel that goes with it - oh, and wearing only hiking gear even when I’m not hiking. I really appreciate Japan’s love for outdoor style and culture. GO OUT’s web magazine has been my daily morning check-in and my biggest outdoor gear inspiration. I recently picked up a few of their physical magazines (it’s hard to come by in the US) and I really enjoy flipping through them every now and then. Contrary to typical magazines that we’re used to, GO OUT magazines are basically beefed up catalogs of goodies and collabs that make for great coffee table content.
