🤔lol stupid thing to recommend but specifically for philosophy I find it very helpful to follow imbedded links and see the web of philosophical terms spread and develop as you go. philosophy is so referential at times and it helps me to see things summarized and related directly. once I find a philosophical subset I’m interested in I look at the literature concerned and delve deeper, there are so many free pdfs of philosophical texts online, bless up. you can start with what you know, “philosophy of-“ will almost always yield something. my interest in philosophy started with modern philosophy and moved backwards in time, you might be different. honestly just get in there and have fun with it kid

🤔yes its a comedy but honestly I only found the actual humor halfway funny I was there for the plot and philosophical concepts. although ngl that is rlly not helpful. what helped me was taking a introduction to ethics and introduction to logic class but I understand not everybody has access to courses like that, so my suggestion is pick up a book or go on wikipedia and just start reading abt what aristotle was up to! I bought "introduction to aristotle" by this richard peter mckeon guy and it is def very wordy and pretentious but it is a nice resource. also looking up philosophy video essays abt media you like helps a lot!! (sorry if this doesn't make sense im kinda all over the place)

unforfunately missing k is for Kant but you can find it on tik tok if you have it. great intro to Deleuze if you have an interest in philosophy at all. i just think its cool he has this alphabet series, reminds me of those memes which are like a celebrities “a-z” of their catchphrases which makes me laugh. not everyone’s cup of tea though. animal, desire and style are my favourites.

🤪I’m 50, I say because that makes me unusual in this context. I paid [redacted] for a ticket to the Eras Tour after listening to tswift for 3 weeks, and it was worth it. In second grade my teacher gave kids birthday spankings over her knee, and in sixth grade my teacher told my mom I hadn’t blossomed yet. I’m a good friend, mostly to people on the internet. I’m good at conversing with strangers. I’m usually the oldest person at the show but don’t feel like it. I’m good at being helpful. I’m sarcastic and funny and make myself laugh. I’m a good graphic designer and a conscientious driver. I’m a good photographer and I can successfully follow recipes. I don’t use my Peloton enough. I did a lot of caregiving for my mom for several years, and we enjoyed spending time together even if it was mostly in waiting rooms and my car. The fastest I ever ran a mile was eight minutes and six seconds. I drove the same car for 20 years and then replaced it with another one. I enjoy tipping, giving money to people on the street and Disneyland. I am a fan of baseball, Formula 1 racing and the Criterion Channel. I solve about 80% of New York Times crosswords. I take Prozac and Wellbutrin, and take Trazodone to sleep through the night. I wish I had a glassed in solarium so I could sleep in it on rainy nights. I would like to have a pet cat and a garage. I could happily live eating only cereal and fruit. I overshare on the internet and undershare elsewhere. ✌️💛
