the next page is showing through so bonus here’s a messy drawing i did of a pink house i love in my parents’ neighborhood
at the end of the frida kahlo exhibit at the vmfa they had paper, pencils, and a mirror. they said draw what you see. the mirror was warped af tho and i don’t think it was intentional lmao. either way i tried my best.
i had gotten really into digital illustration and spent basically all my time using a wacom drawing tablet as a teenager. in all of these old self-portraits i always depict myself with a black jacket and some kind of red accessory. what i love here is the lack of any attention to detail and the very distinct vibe this has that is present in a lot of amateur digital art from a decade ago. i've grown quite a lot as an artist since this was drawn and it's fun to see how i viewed myself at a different point in time.
as we all (pi fyi users) know, being into shit is cool.

latest crochet creation + for this one i got to visit my local hardware store and hang out with their gorgeous maine coone cat while they cut chain to size for me 10/10 experience.
