i used to have a workout playlist full of hype songs that i loved… and making your own i think is exponentially better than some one-size-fits-all mix full of top 40 hits and soulless “edm” slop (mine is called GAG (gay ass gym) on spotify if you do want to see- i feel like you guys/gals/everyone else will understand me). but i find an album has recovery, warm-ups, and high energy pockets that make for a really satisfying workout. i’ve been riding my bike every morning to one of the albums i can’t get enough of- i’ll list them below! i think a playlist is great for lifting, stretching, floor workouts, all that, but there’s something so satisfying about a bike ride with a good soundtrack to me. makes life feel more like a movie.

- SPEED RUN by frost children (HIGHLY recommend! it feels like it was built for moving to)
- revengeseekerz by jane remover (i cannot get enough of this album. might be my fav of 2025)
- All I Ever Wanted by kelly clarkson (i got the CD as a gift when i was a kid and returned to it recently. just great music imo and perfect for a combination of slow and fast movement)
- Fancy That by pinkpantheress (technically a mixtape, but come on. you knew this was coming. pink’s our girl.)
