unfortunately, google doesn’t let you opt out of using their ridiculously inaccurate and environmentally damaging ai “tool”, but if u add “-ai“ to the end of ur google search, it won’t generate! unfriendly reminder that ai will use 6.6 BILLION cubic meters of water annually by 2027. each response w 100 words = 1.2 bottles of water.
ps fuck all these tech companies for not letting us opt out of unreliable tools that destroy our planet

are you also annoyed as fuck that when you google something you get an AI generated response?
next time search for something with "-ai" at the end of your search and you won't get it

make yourself navigate life the way you did before chatgpt. i’m sure this likely covers it: turn off ai on any apps/sites, manually use a dictionary and thesaurus, learn research skills, use databases or relevant websites to find other info, manually look up general writing tips or even take a writing course, look at professional development sites for tips on writing better emails/resumes/etc, ask a friend or mentor questions or help proofreading, read more books, do crossword puzzles, go to a library and ask a librarian for guidebooks/research assistance/etc. remind yourself that AI over time makes you less intelligent because you no longer have to use critical thinking skills and stop learning new things. it is easy to avoid and i imagine you’ll actually get better at whatever you’re using it for once you practice, making it even easier. i don’t use AI to write essays/ emails or edit or look things up for me, and many others don’t as well, so i promise it’s more than doable!! plus it’s so bad for the environment and human rights so if the above isn’t compelling enough, you can guilt yourself into not using it?

we’re watching soaps together (young and the restless, bold and the beautiful). she and her mom used to watch the same shows together when she was younger. it’s a happy memory for her. whenever i’m at work, mom texts me updates from the show. it’s a very sweet ritual we’ve just started. it’s fun to watch her reminisce about old storylines and explain who everyone is to me. we’ve started a new soap together called beyond the gates. even more special to begin the show with her. a new tradition built upon an old one. i look at my mom as a treasure of information of which i’ll never reach the bottom. she’s getting older, and i keep thinking about how one day, i’ll wish i’d been nicer, or more open, or taken out my headphones to listen to her talk just to talk. on days when those thoughts are overwhelming, i settle for spending time with her in the calm afternoon of her lunch break and listening to her talk about phyllis and victor and jill and cricket. sometimes, she talks over the show, but tbh i’m more interested in what she has to say than the storylines.

tangerine juice is a perfect base to me because it has a smooth, even flavor. unlike other citruses, you can barely taste it, but it thickens up the smoothie. also, i once got into a bar underage by arguing w/ the meathead (endearing) bouncer over our smoothie recipes, so you can trust me! #gainsbrother
my go-to recipe: - tangerine juice - mango - banana - spinach - ginger - pineapple (optional) - mixed berries (optional)
