Just recently bought and set up my Walkman (Sony walkman NWZ-S638F to be exact) and it's just magical. I wasn't around in the era that people regularly used mp3 players but I have come in contact with an iPod from time to time. I bought one because well I'm an avid cd collector with a player that doesn't work, which isn't ideal. Also I hate my phone, I hate TikTok and how much time i spend on it, and how little time I actually spend listening to my music without a distraction. Plus it's nice to listen to music I actually own rather than from a subscription. Still it hasn't stopped my doom scrolling on days off work, obvs. But i'm aiming to start working on myself fully before I begin my 2nd year of university!!!! Anyways here she is:

Yooooo I was eyeing getting one as my old iPod died (apparently I was like the only person among my friends still using one; now I have all my music on my phone and yeah...I hate being so distracted)! Where'd you find it?

@INDIGO_UNHAPPY I got it on ebay for about £45 and they sent the charger aswell, there are so many different variations on Ebay so there will be lots of choice :))

going walkman mode

spent too long price hunting on ebay for the players and still probably ended up overpaying. but the one on the right is a WM-EX1 and i think it looks rad and it actually sounds quite clear and rich with a good pair of headphones!! i have been slowly gathering tapes, so far Pet Shop Boys from a local record/thrift store and Jeff Rosenstock from the tour merch counter
