You kinda had to see it live, since there was no youtube or instagram to watch highlights. I remember seeing cool matches on the back of my dad's newspaper and then asking my friends what happened. All the athletes were just generally more cool and had a certain swagger to them. And living in a country where we didn't get really good sports coverage meant that you would only ever hear about Cristiano Ronaldo having a good match in the Prem, or hear about LeBron's domination in the NBA, it was like they were myths. And then when you actually catch a game, it was like seeing the myth in real life. idk it was weird but cool af

i just think that enjoying watching a sport is underrated. one misses out nowadays on tuning into the tv at specific times what with streaming and all but sport fits that hole almost quite nicely. running to make a cup of tea and go to the loo during the advert break so to not miss any action is genuine joy guys man. love seeing my sport of choice occur (it is cars)

This was my first football match and I went solo because none of my friends watch football. It was so exhilaring! A cauldron of testosterone! i don’t support Leicester or Crystal Palace but as a neutral it was truly fascinating observing this wonderful thing we call the beautiful game. something kinda old school about seeing families with their kids eating pies and singing football chants.

I don’t enjoy working. It takes up too much of my time. In college I could watch champions league matches in class, a utopia I didn’t know I had. Now working, a joy of mine is listening to games on the clock. No one can stop me from enjoying the beautiful game!!! It’s also fun to imagine what’s happening and then frantically open your phone to see the goal happen.
