And like WOT is high fantasy and very chill to read. The first book hews very close to LOTR but then things start to diverge and get more interesting and fun.

Lolz so no one liked this when I posted, but can’t recommend enough Rosamund Pike’s new audiobook versions! I’m currently about to finish book 2 and I’m glad she’s made it through 4 so far. I LOVED the books as a kid and made it through 1-10 twice (gave up at 10), but Pike’s audio version is giving the stories new life and is ridiculously fun. Highly recommend this approach and I say this as someone who doesn’t even like audiobooks.

@TORTITUDE I do srsly appreciate the suggestion but I just cannot do audiobooks lol.. It becomes background noise almost instantly.. Amazed that you read through almost the whole series twice though loll
@GRAPE dude same here! But this one is theater since she does all the voices and is just so captivating. Every other audiobook I just immediately stop focusing. Try to read em then, very very fun especially for the first time. (Haha and yeah I grew up before smart phones so lots of idle times)

@GRAPE that’s awesome! Just make sure it’s the Pike version and not the original audiobooks. I will have to switch to those after book 4, but from what I hear they’re not as engaging and audio quality on the first few is particularly bad, so won’t be the same experience. Have so much fun. The WOT is once again the only thing I think about!
