soo much beautiful, ornate art during this period. the attention to detail in everything is so incredible. one of my favorite paintings ever is “the swing” by jean fragonard. aside from being just a beautifully ethereal piece, the meaning behind it adds so much more love for the painting.

Georges Rochegrosse (1894). The details and play of light in this painting draw me in like no other. Absolutely mesmerizing!!! This musée d’Orsay link has some good close-ups

i have a lot of posters on my walls, one of them is this painting. i learned about it in my a european history class i took in high school and have been obsessed since. i like to get lost in it. there are so many tiny details that are so fun to look at and wonder how he came up with it.

treating my relationship with weed more like a ritual for end of day relaxation rather than a necessity to block out anxiety/mood swings has helped me so much. i’ve been adding in herbs like jasmine, damiana, mugwort, etc into the mix as well, which is fun because it makes me feel like a witch running a little herbal apothecary (bonus point for putting the herbs into little glass bottle with cork tops). anyways buying beautiful glassware is a fundamental step for me as well, because it’s impossible for me to do literally anything without romanticizing tf out of it.
