This is one of the broadest topics that is really being dissected and torn apart today with the rise of AI and computer learning, but goes all the way back to the Greeks and beyond!

A (not very widely accepted) theory on how human consciousness developed. I think it goes something like: Once we had a split mind where one side had a god-like voice that gave orders/ideas/directions in the form of auditory hallucinations to the other side of our mind, which acted on them. We were intelligent but had no real consciousness or ability to reflect until the bicameral mind broke down a few thousand years ago, which is when ancient texts began to show self-consciousness and self-reflective concepts, and when religions transitioned from pantheons of smaller (maybe personal) deities to larger and more abstract ones. Schizophrenia in modern humans would be a vestige of all this.
It seems insane to me, but it’s fun to read about older scientific theories that either fell out of favor, were debunked, or were just destined to be on the fringe.

Your body is an instrument a complex conductor of energy and intelligent spiritual thought. Your nervous system is a kind of computer or perhaps the network your computer is connecting to. Biology, physiology, psychology, philosophy, spirituality, religion are all interfaces to understand your own machine. Whether you approach it scientifically or philosophically is whether you are observing hardware or software.

I hate wearing glasses. I hate feeling them on my face, but contacts would be my own personal hell. Please give me the motivation to wear them like I should

My name is Shawna. I responded “oh my god! My name is Shawn, too!” Then stuttered through saying “wait, no, that’s not my name.” and since I was so anxious I just rambled for way to long about the difference between our names.

Why not go through the process of blending those images yourself? Why not use process as an experiment? Why AI? What part are you playing? What makes it yours? I think AI is impersonal. I think it is unethical when it has relied on the theft of actual people’s actual physical (and because of the nature of art, often time emotional) labor. I also think it is unnecessary in creating art. I also think the environmental impacts are atrocious. I also think AI’s biggest supporters are being maliciously ignorant because it’s a fun new toy. Is it ease? Is it efficiency? People talk about accessibility as if children don’t use crayons and stickers! As if graffiti artists don’t use postal labels as sticker, as if sand mandalas don’t exist, as if cardboard and tape aren’t in over abundance.
