Not exactly known for being cheap, but there are lots of great places on the UES, especially if you’re willing to walk east! Things will decrease in price/raise in quality if you cross Lex. We have outposts of two amazing Brooklyn favorites, Lucia Pizza and Regina’s Grocery (impeccable Italian sandwiches, skip the overhyped Milano Market). As I posted the other day, the froyo at Butterfield is out of this world (food is decent as well, if wildly expensive). I’ve only been once, but people like the new Joju (popular place in Flushing) for banh mi. Also not quite on topic and a bit of a walk north but I’d be remiss in not telling you about Earl’s Beer and Cheese, my favorite bar that also has very good food.

THANK YOU!!!! I went with a hot dog out of desperation today bc i didn’t see this rec but this will save me in the coming week!!! beer and cheese are two of my favorite things in the world so I cannot WAIT to try Earl’s!! I also almost went to milano market lmao ty for letting me know to skip it
