keeping fortune cookie messages

i always keep every slip of paper from fortune cookies, even the ones my friends don’t want. some of them may seem cryptic in the moment, but might make more sense to you in the future… and some won’t, and that’s okay too. you don’t need to resonate with every message from a fortune cookie, but the more you collect, the more likely you’ll find one or maybe a couple that speak to you, or maybe you’ll find one that speaks to someone you love… who knows!
i have a clear phone case where i keep a sticker, a message from a teabag, and two fortune cookie slips. one of them says “a good evening is one spent in good company” and the other says “see life through the eyes of a child, then you become truly wise” <3 it’s cool to find god in these words every time i put my phone face down somwhere

Collecting random trinkets from the streets
