I took up stained glass as a hobby a few years ago.
You know those shows where people move off the grid and they have so much pride for the way they live, even though they have to shovel thru 6ft of rocks and dirt every time they want to take a shower?
The closest I have gotten to that feeling is making things with my hands. it started at knitting, then shrinky dink keychains, then cricuting tote bags and t shirts, then collaging, and most recently making stained glass.
I love having Bloody battled lil finger pads and holding something sharp and real up to the window that exists in space and time because I FORGED IT!
In reality, I am making silly little suncatchers for my friends that Aren't all rock and roll, but it makes me feel powerful and good.
Can recommend stained glass but also any hobby where you create something fun and cute for Sport

π§ΆI already do this when I can, but if I was truly analog, iβd be crafting. jack of all trades, master of none:
- crocheting
- painting(nails or canvas with acrylic)
- making jewelry
- printmaking
- quilting (big fan of improv quilting)
- drawing
- pottery/clay work
- bookbinding/scrapbooking/collaging

especially when you try it out with friends. i recommend getting some cheap air dry clay and acrylic paint and creating little creatures and clowns and trinket trays. whatever you sclupt takes a day or two to dry, so you not only have a new thing you made with your own hands, but something to look forward to as you wait to paint it. it get's your brain off of the ick for at least a little bit.

i know that feeling- i usually get so mad i cry
but i learned that you can only focus on what you are able to control
caring about people and the state of the world shows you have a huge beautiful heart
but remember you are only one person
and while you cant fix the world
you can do your best to be part of it and do what you know is right
no matter what
