🌈i choose to live with my heart on my sleeve at every second of the day. i will never apologize for putting myself out there or reaching out to people that inspire me! unfortunately, i’ve often struggled to find honest, nourishing relationships with like minded people. i’ve learned that many people find it intimidating when someone is so up front and comfortable with their own feelings and self expression… i’ve felt the isolation that comes with being unapologetically myself. all i can say is that when you DO find other people who are true to themselves- i think it’s one of the most rewarding experiences you can have as a human.

because wanting to be liked by everyone ALL THE TIME is far too exhausting and never worth it.
“just be yourself” is probably the most basic piece of advice ever given and yet somehow it’s taken me 24 years of my life to finally start considering it. funny how life works!

💖my life greatly improved when i stopped trying to anticipate what other people expected me to say (i’m pretty bad at it) and started being straightforward and honest about how i feel and what i think. don’t hide behind being nonchalant and ironic! show people how much you do care and who you genuinely are! it’s scary, but makes it much easier to discern who you truly vibe with and remember who you truly are :)

i just had my last ever performance and i honestly could not have worn these shoes for a day longer. i truly killed these shoes. my performance was outside so i even got grass stains on the bottoms of them. this being my last pair of pointe shoes is so special having worn them past the point of being dead!!!!!
