soo many people today get bogged down on what is trending , what they like and what what they like says abt them, curating an online persona and all that. i think thatās rubbish! you exsist to understand yourself, not to be understood by others. š§æIt would be hypocritical from me to say i donāt follow trends, quite the opposite some of them can really be interesting and i āfollowā them but i have no desire to fit in.
Everyday i embrace my soul, my heart and my mind because it took me years to be the Me of today and as an individual itās totally normal to be unique in my own way.
I am unapologetically myself, no matter how much ātroubleā it gets me with people i donāt care. To be put in a box just to fit in or follow the ārulesā was never something that i tolerated nor could handle.
I value self reliance and resent depending on someone I am selective when it comes to socialising because i prefer being alone than having small talk I question everything to be convinced before i accept it or do it I am assertive, i express my needs, opinions and boundaries even if it means leading to a conflict with someone I dont care about social pressure, i believe anyone can achieve anything at any age I donāt care about approval I am always open to learn new stuff and never afraid to be seen as āuneducatedā during the process I donāt wanna copy. I am me, if i wanna read a kidāa book i will, if i wanna paint a tomato i will, if i wanna learn Russian i will, if i wanna wear a blazer with sweatpants because I think it looks good ON ME i WILL, me is ME and you is YOU. š¤I read a TikTok slideshow about how we attach our personalities to the things we buy like Labubuās, matcha, vintage clothing, etc., etc. and it really woke me up. It made me realize how often we treat objects like identity badges, hoping theyāll somehow communicate who we are to the world. But maybe we donāt need to buy a personality. Maybe itās okay to just be you without the aesthetic, without the branding, without needing to āmatchā a vibe.
The phrase āto be cringe is to be freeā has been living rent-free in my head, and honestly, it resonates. Because at the end of the day, who really cares what other people think? Okay, I do sometimes. Iām human. But when I quiet the noise, I know the truest version of myself isnāt curated, itās just me. Messy, weird, sincere. And I think thatās enough.
Weāre not the sum of what we consume. Weāre allowed to just exist, unbranded, unfiltered, and still whole.
I think Iām not my truest self yet, but Iām getting there and I really do hope my truest self reflects beautifully to the people around me.

šÆI am so happy that people nowadays are realizing the value of being authentically themselves away from following trends. I love seeing the physically manifestation of self through people's whimsical outfits, the way they decorate their rooms, their music playlists and etc. I think being you attracts great things, opportunities, and people that are meant to make your life better!
