I, with the whole of my being, believe John Williams greatest song he's ever composed to be 'The Olympic Spirit'. Composed for the 1988 Seoul Summer Olympic games it represents the main theme and spirit of the games. 'The Olympic Spirit' is the perfect embodiment of the beautiful human experience throughout time. A theme for the games that unifies the world every 4 years in friendly competition. The work has moments of grandeur, moments that envoke the feeling of watching ancient civilizations rise and humanity progress through the tides of time. For what was humanity's first form of entertainment if not tossing a stone around the fire? Did the children of our earliest ancestors not race and swim across the ancient plains and rivers? The games have grown and changed across time but the core of what humanity was is still deeply ingrained into the gathering of nations to simply play games. 'The Olympic Spirit' is an emotional piece that builds upon the understanding of what makes the Olympic games so important, the humanity within. The Olympics may have started in Classical Greece but the spirit behind them is far more ancient. John Williams is a master of sound and is by far one of the greatest composers of all time, but 'The Olympic Spirit' is his ballad to humanity. I strongly recommend you listen to it at least once, as you listen think upon our ancient ancestors, think upon the wonder and gravity of every nation and every kind of person cheering for one another, it is a song that echos that deep rooted connection we all have to those long lost people centuries ago.

This album is the epitome of transcendence and grace brought to you through an inspiring movie of freedom and true peace. We are gifted with Bryan Adams and Hans Zimmer creating ear orgasmic worthy art that guides you through the story of the characters journey to victory after overcoming obstacles and adversity time after time. My dad introduced me to this movie and I believe it has formed who I am as a woman today.

I just finished playing God of War: Valhalla and Bear McReary dropped a phenomenal soundtrack for the game. Of course any soundtrack from your favorite movies/games will do. It adds juicy drama to your workout routine, especially if you’re weightlifting/calisthenics. Makes you feel like you are doing this for a higher purpose, to “Master Thyself”
Worth a try to change things up, even if just once. Have fun and let me know what soundtrack you choose!

One of the GOATed movie soundtracks, perfect from end to end. We tend to focus on the aesthetics, storytelling, costuming, and complex relationships in Wes Anderson films, but let’s give our flowers to the music direction too 💐 (I see you Mark Mothersbaugh)
If you’re looking for a way to romanticize your life, I highly recommend listening to movie soundtracks, especially when you’re out and about. It lends a sense of gravitas mixed with whimsy, depending on what type of movie score/OST you play.
I’m giving The Royal Tenenbaums a spin today in honor of Gene Hackman, another GOAT.
