I love when you can look at an album and know you are gonna get exactly whats on the tin. Crunchy, grungy, angry, yelling about being angry at life, lamenting being white trash, but knowing nothing else as authenticly
While the self titled album rightfully gets all the attention, this project that blends funky punk with Su Tissues pianist talents is truly special. Flavor Crystals and Baby are some major highlights for me.
San Francisco emo Every couple of months I text Mark from this band while absolutely hammered drunk and glaze him about how good this album is and beg him to tour with us, usually to no or little response. I swear he hates music and won't leave the sunset district of San Francisco but that's ok; musicians who hate music and trying are usually the best. Last time we played San Francisco I watched him drive up high in a beat Subaru and hit a car while parking. Everything was so apt and perfect. I've never liked San Francisco but I like this haaahahah
I'm not one to gravitate towards noise rock/sludge metal/post-hardcore, but I feel like the subject matter of this song, and the sheer anger and dissonance it entails, really lends itself to the genre. It's the perfect medium for the emotion.
I hate wearing glasses. I hate feeling them on my face, but contacts would be my own personal hell. Please give me the motivation to wear them like I should
My name is Shawna. I responded “oh my god! My name is Shawn, too!” Then stuttered through saying “wait, no, that’s not my name.” and since I was so anxious I just rambled for way to long about the difference between our names.
Why not go through the process of blending those images yourself? Why not use process as an experiment? Why AI? What part are you playing? What makes it yours?
I think AI is impersonal. I think it is unethical when it has relied on the theft of actual people’s actual physical (and because of the nature of art, often time emotional) labor. I also think it is unnecessary in creating art. I also think the environmental impacts are atrocious. I also think AI’s biggest supporters are being maliciously ignorant because it’s a fun new toy.
Is it ease? Is it efficiency? People talk about accessibility as if children don’t use crayons and stickers! As if graffiti artists don’t use postal labels as sticker, as if sand mandalas don’t exist, as if cardboard and tape aren’t in over abundance.
