Whenever I am in a building with an elevator (like a hospital) I love going to see the emergency exits and staying there for a while because of how quiet and lonely they are. No one ever uses them and they make great spaces for reading, thinking, and staring at the walls.

alarms go off if you open an emergency door in most buildings where I live, otherwise I would have spent so much time in these spaces, they get bonus point because of that irresistible smell of concrete.

i've been in Toronto for a month and this place my sanctuary fr. Beautifully designed, good lighting and has these cool glass elevators that make ascending really fun.
