Collect postcards all throughout a trip. Use them for brain dumps, and send them all out on your last day. Each person will get a different slice of your experience.

๐ฎA most perfect souvenir! Inexpensive, lots of options, donโt have to worry about where youโll store it traveling home. I love sending them to friends but also always get some for myself. I often tape them into my journal with pictures or highlights from the trip. If they came from a specific location I like putting information pertaining to our visit on them (ex: getting one from a museum and writing the exhibits or favorite pieces you saw, getting one from a town or venue where you saw a concert and writing the set list)

โ๏ธget fun postcards when traveling, they're usually in bookshops. write a bunch of inside jokes and stuff for your friends. once you start doing it everyone sends them to you when they travel its so fun

Some will play cult classics, international movies, and other things you'd never get a chance to watch on the big screen otherwise. Even latest releases are usually available at a lower cost. I think that needs to be rewarded and financially supported whenever possible.

As the only true third spaces left in a world where you can hardly leave your house without having to spend money, supporting and utilizing these public services has become more necessary than ever. People don't realize just how many free services are offered by their local branches. From workshops, to free access to online classes and audiobooks, museum passes, movie nights, private study rooms, equipment available to borrow, community building โ it's so much more than just borrowing books (which is also cool, btw).
