It's a video of Gobby playing on a truck driving around Williamsburg when drummers ruled the world. Good document of his virtuoso savant era. All time signatures and math and the wind in his hair. This was a “you had to be there” era.

💸Absolutely batshit viral video from before Youtube in the early 2000s. Its incredibly dissonant to listen to, so I figured I'd only watch for a few minutes but I watched the entire thing and then started from the beginning. Amazing how nonchalant and chill all the people are. The sound design goes from grating to hilarious the longer you watch it.

I haven't rocked this since highschool and am revisiting it now. It hits harder after being in love a couple times. It’s sentimental and corny but also vulgar and cruel. It’s much sadder than I remembered. I used to think “Why didnt you just write 33 really good songs” but now I understand that there will never be enough love songs. ‘I Don't Wanna Get Over You” is a beautiful song about agonizing yourself. ‘Let's Pretend We’re Bunny Rabbits” is a wonderful tune about having a relentless erection.
