don't believe the hype around certain shampoos. whatever works for you works for you. you might also find that it helps to switch shampoos every few months-- my hair gets used to something and starts looking like shit, and then i switch to something else and it looks great

Sorry this is so long 😅
I have straight, fine hair and I currently use the Herbal Essences rose hip shampoo. It's really great at adding shine and making my hair smooth and soft (also smells yummy 😋). I've also used the Maui Moisture lightweight hydration shampoo (the pink bottle) and liked it.
Another thing that has been a game-changer for my hair is double shampooing! Because my hair is so straight and fine, it gets oily very quickly. I discovered double shampooing recently (which is just shampooing twice) and it gives my hair a little volume and it can last longer without looking greasy. I do every other day!
For conditioners/leave-ins I highly recommend anything with jojoba oil! My hair LOVES it and since I'm assuming we have similar hair types yours might love it too.
This is an add-on but the Tsubaki Fino hair mask is affordable and makes my hair sooooo shiny!

I always turn to VO5 shampoo or the green Suave bottle. Sometimes you need your head to be fresh and clean and this is what shampoo is for. But I don’t really understand paying large amounts of money to degrease my hair. VO5 is a good way to fly under the radar and it provides really consistent results. Every time I use a shampoo that’s weird or nice I never know what I’m going to look like when I wake up. I specifically enjoy the strawberries and cream flavor of VO5, I like seeing the picture of the strawberry on the bottle and I like the Pepto Bismol color. I’m remembering now too that this is what my dad and grandfather both used to buy for me and I think that’s cute.

I’m trying really hard to write a rec that doesn’t just sound like regurgitated marketing lol. This isn’t a shampoo or a conditioner—but a cleansing cream. My hair is super fine and kinda sucks. I used to wash my hair each time I showered because it just got tangled if I wet it and didn’t slather it in conditioner. I’ve been using this product for about 9 months now and it has truly worked wonders. My hair is super soft, looks fuller, and actually feels clean. I only wash it twice a week now and it looks good between washes. It did take some time to get used to, but I’m really happy with it and glad I made the switch!

no more beating dead horses when it comes to movies, tv shows, etc. the movie doesn't need a sequel. the show doesn't need to go on for 27 seasons. we need more stories that are written with an ending in mind from the beginning.

best thing you can do for yourself is become extremely comfortable with being alone and doing stuff by yourself. at a young age i forced myself to get comfortable with that and now it's my default state-- i LOVE doing stuff by myself. my coworker is a person who literally cannot go places by herself and i have been trying to help her get more comfortable doing things solo because it's very freeing. everyone should be happy to go do stuff by themselves, it's lovely!
