My local coffee shop is a 45 second walk from my door. Their coffee is 8.5/10.
My favorite coffee shop is a 26 minute drive. Their coffee is 11/10.
Loving my neighborhood & supporting it means I will almost always choose to support the really great one by me as opposed to the excellent one that’s further away.
Putting time and $$$ into your local businesses will (1) make them profitable and (2) allow them to expand talent to get better and (3) will keep them going and (4) allow you to build a reputation with the staff that (5) sometimes ends up benefiting you.

also support local businesses and small coffee shops but nothing beats making my iced coffee in two seconds flat to drink in the garden with a good book

I usually just circle the block with music playing, and sometimes I get my favorite drink from the local cafe: ice nutella latte. then i feel awake and ready for the day.

since graduating college, I’ve missed the process of writing a paper. Now, I can actually write about things that I love. Right now, I’m writing a paper on the terms we use to describe our online friendships, still deciding the major argument for the paper though. <3
