my favorite song by hum as of late. ik hum has blown up lately on tiktok but their entire discography is sick. my mom was listening to them at 13/14 . 'you'd prefer an astronaut' feels like summer to me. midwest summer, getting excited over mundane/small hangouts. if anyone finds it on vinyl / cd lmk <3
this week I went all in for old arctic monkeys, specially with humbug. i don’t think it’s their best album but brings me back ti specific times so it’s on repeat lol
it gives teenager vibes before the canon event so like an idea of what perfect adolescence means
my top albums are definitely folie a deux and infinity on high. i really love how just pure pop punk infinity is and then folie is just super experiemental. it’s a cool switch before the hiatus and it’s fun to see where you can tell they had different visions for their music. top songs gotta be “fame < infamy” and ”i’m like a lawyer…” for infinity and “tiffany blews” and “(coffee’s for closers).” “saturday” and “where is your boy” have special places in my heart though. and all of the hits.
That feeling from finishing a day in high school and being autumn but still not winter. Like Vampire Weekend's S/T, Interpol, Deerhunter, The strokes..... Truly remembering what being 16/17s was like.... prob gonna make a playlist
“men are constantly performing for other men”
“every man is a combination of all the cool traits he stole from all the cool women in his life“
”he has no lore without me”
“his music taste is nothing without mine”
“his new bitch is chopped“
“everytime i breathe my life goes x10 better than his“
